Happy Homemaker Monday

(I work full time now, but I am still very much a homemaker.)

The Weather:::
It was 34 degrees this morning. What a change, but a nice one. It is beautiful this after noon, warmed up some. I have the windows open, fresh air.

Right now I am:
I just got home from doing a few errands after working a few hours this morning. I am listening to the birds and enjoying some quiet.

Thinking:
I have deleted my facebook for now. I know that doesn't mean anything to others because I have done it a few times before but I am trying more now. I honestly go on my hubby's once in awhile but he has very few friends so I am on for a very short while. My next goal, that I am been convicted many times over from the Holy Spirit, is my TV watching. Their is so little good TV these days and my choices most the time are not good ones. You know it is bad when you son says, "Mom I counted 4 bad words, and this is regular TV." I then change it, but now always. Sad right? I am just being honest. I can't be a good role model to my kids if I want them to watch good stuff when I don't in return. Working on this and praying on it.

On my reading pile:::
I haven't read in awhile since vacation but there are a few that I have been wanting to pick up and finish this time.

On my tv:::
Hopefully nothing today..wanting to be productive.

On the menu for this week:::
My hubby had been doing most the cooking because I work full time and he is home now because of his health. He is an amazing cook. We will probably start with taco soup for tonight, and go from there.  He doesn't write a menu but shoots from his hip, it is ALWAYS delicious, no matter what. I have learned a lot from him.

On my to do list:::
My son is at home sick today, so I wanted to do some little school work with him since he his feeling better. He already did his reading, so we are going to try to catch on some of his school work from Friday. My list is endless, but one thing at a time.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I have twin girls that I want to make "love'ies" for. They are due soon. I hurt my hand awhile back so I can't crochet as much now.

Homemaking Tips:::
Taking time to love on your children more then you think you do, they will appreciate it. =)

Looking around the house:::
I have lots to do, but I am going to try and do some fun things with my kids as well.

From the camera:::

My son's game was on Thursday and my dad and step mom got to come for it. We had a good time!

On my prayer list:::
My husband's health, waiting his hematologist appt on Nov. 7 for help and more testing because of his blood disorder.
Finances, staying on budget.
Spending better quality time with my boys.

Bible verse, Devotional:::
“I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God.” Isaiah 43:11-12

I am with you on the TV. I go back and forth so many times on if we should cancel our cable or not. I think I need to first try just turning it off more often.

I hope you have a great week! :)

I'm getting ready to dump Facebook soon too. I won't delete it, but I am not going to be on there, I just am over it all, the drama, the nonsense. I don't know...I am one of those people that find that facebook is negative and I feel very pushed by the Holy Spirit to distance myself from it.

As for TV, I just love it LOL But I totally know what you mean, I don't think there are many good shows on anymore...I think it's why I watch mostly Period Dramas from the UK.

Hope you have a fantastic week :)
