Happy Homemaker Monday (Tuesday)

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Actually not that hot today.. the wind had a nice chill to it. We still need rain so badly, so many fires near us.
Let it rain, Let it Rain, open the floodgates of heaven, Let it Rain, Let it Rain.

Things that make me happy:
Homemade macaroni and cheese made by my husband.

Book I'm reading:

Made to Crave.. still

What's on my TV today:
I have been hooked on Army Wives. I have been watching the past few seasons on Netflicks these past few days since I have been sick in bed.

On the menu for dinner:
My hubbys homemade macaroni and cheese with some fruit and carrots. =) Okay I lied, just the macaroni and cheese for me. It was comforting for real.

On my To Do List:

Making some lunch and taking it over to a friend that needed it.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:

My hubby started grilling our fish instead of me baking it and it was AMAZING!

In the craft basket:

Still working on my first 2 blankets that I started.

Looking forward to this week:

Being productive after being sick for the past 3 days.
Spending some more one on one time with my kids.
No government shutdown!

Tips and Tricks:

I got nothing today LOL

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

My oldest son (on the right) and his fav. neighbor Syrus. They look so much alike and even have the same middle name.

Lesson learned the past few days:
That time flies, life is too short to waste it. Enjoy every single moment you have with your kids especially, before you know it, you blink your eyes and they're grown.

On my mind:

One of my close friends lost her 18 yr old son today in a car accident. My heart aches for them. I felt the Lord playing a song in my heart this morning when thinking about it. " Safe in the arms of Jesus."

My brother and Sil, were robbed tonight while they were gone. It is so sad! Thankfully they were safe but my mother whom has passed, her jewelry was taken along with other precious things.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. – Proverbs 12:18 (NIV)
(Um, Sandra it seems lately that every verse that you have shared is what I needed to read.) Thanks!

I am so sorry to hear what happened to your friend. I can't even imagine that. I'll say a prayer! I am also sorry about your brother getting robbed. That is so scary!

Um homemade mac & cheese made by someone else? Awesome! :)

That is just heartbreaking for your friend, I'll say a prayer for sure.

Like Mary, I'm also sorry for your brother, how scary.

Sorry I am late coming around, I seem to always be running around and trying to play catch up everywhere.

I would love to taste your husbands homemade mac and cheese! Prayers for the family who lost their son!! So sad! Praying for Abby and Paul (and praying for the thieves as well- that they will open their hearts to God's word and seek forgiveness)!
