Happy Homemaker "Tuesday"

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Nice in the morning, and hot in the afternoon.

Things that make me happy:

Cool weather especially when I have to walk every where since we are down a car. I have lost 10 lbs. so that is the good news.

Book I'm reading:

My amplified bible.

What's on my TV today:

Biggest loser

On the menu for dinner:
Hamburgers on the grill. I love when my hubby grills, he is so good at it.

On my To Do List:

So much, it isn't even funny to get ready for this weekend.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
I tried a new very simple recipe that a good friend told me about.
I simply sauteed some chicken breast, cut up, in the pan. I used some garlic and some seasonings. While I did that I boiled some whole wheat pasta in some salty water. I added those two together with .. what for it.. pesto. I didn't even need to heat up the pesto, I just added it to the mix of chicken and noodles. To add something delish to it, I added some halved cherry tomatoes. I let those warm and simmer a little with the chicken. My hubby whom is a great cook called it, "restaurant style food." Rock on! It is now a favorite in my family. I used the pesto from Sams. I know how to make it homemade, I just didn't have any fresh basil on hand. I am wanting to grow some in my window seal this spring.
(I did take a picture of it, but my camera died, and that picture died with it.)

In the craft basket:

2 Blankets.

Looking forward to this week:

Spending extra time with my boys because of spring break, sleeping in a little, and getting ready for my walk to Amaeus this coming weekend.

Tips and Tricks:
Walk to the park, instead of driving.
My fav Blog post of the week.

This is one of the ladies from my church. She is on a trip throughout Louisiana right now with her grand kids and daughter. I love her pictures!

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
http://hlministries.blogspot.com
I found this one from one that I visit often in the comment section. She is telling a love story right now that is just riveting and I can't wait for the conclusion. Their are some hard to read parts as well, because of some traumatic experiences.

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

A close up of the new pattern I learned from youtube. It is so easy, and I loving this purple.

Lesson learned the past few days:

When you have such little time with your spouse, make the most of it. I am so thankful for my hubby. Especially this past Sunday, I got this nasty stomach bug out of the blue and I was able to sleep most of the day, and he took care of the kids and the house. I was so thankful, it was the sleep that killed it I believe.

On my mind:
My hubby's job and his health.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:4

I love the blankets! The colors are awesome. I am excited because I just found out my friend is having a baby girl so I get to crochet a blanket for her!

I like your lesson learned. My hubby travels a lot. I need to be more thankful for the time we have together instead of complaing when he is gone.

Have a great day! :)
