The weather in my neck of the woods:
It is finally starting to be alittle cooler outside.. 91 degrees this afternoon versus 104 last week..

One of my simple pleasures: being AJ's personal jungle gym and playing airplane with both of my boys

On my bedside table:
Finally finished my Nicholas Sparks book..
I am reading another book now.. it is called Motherless Daughters .. I hate the title but it has been helpful.. I lost my mother almost 3 weeks ago now. My friend that lost her mom when she was 7 gave it to me.

On my TV:
We actually got cable for the first time in this new house last week.. just the very basic.. glad to feel apart of life now, news and all.

On the Chore list:
No desire to do anything with this stinking depression but trying to press on.. my hubby has been doing alot and I feel bad because I just want to sleep.

New Recipe I tried last week:
my hubby has been cooking.. he is full time dad now.. I am working full time on the weekends now.. He made this wonderful gumbo last night..

In the craft basket:
still working on a special someone's blanket.. haven't done much on it lately.
Wanting to make a small photo album for the boys to have of their nana

Looking forward to:
Living life and living for my mom!

Homemaking Tip for this week: Don't wait to spend time together as a family without the TV!

Favorite photo from last week: My oldest son, Jared started pre kinder..

On my Prayer List:
My whole family as we struggle to move past the lost of my mother.. 8-12-2009

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Give all your worries to Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7
This is one that I love and trying to hold fast too.

I have struggled with the loss of my mother and depression since 2006, my heart breaks for you, and I wish you plenty of rest and peace in the coming days.
I found that the Griefshare devotions helped me greatly, although is was about 8 months afterwards before I was ready to start them.
