Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Still hot, but nice in the early mornings.

Things that make me happy:
Learning to stick up for myself, with not always many words, just words lead by God.

Book I'm reading:
I finally started Facing your Giants by Max Lucado. I just finished a murder mystery by Mary Jane Clark. I know that is quite a switch.

What's on my TV today:
I need to not be near the tv today, too much to do.

On the menu for dinner:
A Smith favorite, breakfast for supper. I have finally found a pancake recipe that i really like. I am still working on getting them to look more alike, but they still taste good.

On my To Do List:
Finishing getting the boys clothes ready for school
Meeting AJ's teacher today. (Even though he has known her for sometime now)=)
Finish up on a photo shoot I did - resizing.
Get ready for this crazy busy weekend.
Finish learning my song that I am signing this weekend. I almost have it down.

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
I haven't tried any in awhile. I need to get back in that habit. New things are always good.

In the craft basket:
I am making a small blanket for my niece's 8th birthday. She loves little blanket to cover her dolls/stuffed animals. She wanted green and blue.

Looking forward to this week:
School starting this week.
Getting back on a better schedule.
Getting ready to see family and celebrate my grandma's life.

Tips and Tricks:
Candid pics of your kids are even better sometimes then just posed/nice smile pictures. That capture the true personality. It cracks me up looking through them.

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

Lesson learned the past few days:
The devil has no power over me, My God is bigger!

On my mind:
Being a better cook again, and stop being lazy when it comes to meal planning and cooking.. just being honest.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are higher then any other!

Great lesson isn't it? :)

Sounds like a good week.

I make my pancakes all the same size by using a 1/4 cup measure to scoop them onto the griddle :)
