Marriage Mondays- Every One Was Design By Him not me!
I have joined reading a blog along with Sarah L and Denise ( some of my St. Paul Girls) on Marriage Mondays.
A small part from it here..
Who driving your buggy?
Real love is like this, as Romans 12 so specifically describes in Romans 12:9-11,
serving God through zealous love that puts others first. A godly woman is looking out for ways to bring her husband good every day of her life (Prov. 31:12). It is part of her marriage mission, if she is a follower of God. I guess HE's driving her buggy, so He wants her to take it where it honors her man. How do you show your husband that he is your number 1 man?
I had the best weekend with my husband. We got a lot accomplished and had some great time together as well.
I also read all of Romans 12 again. Pardon me if I dog trail a little bit on this..
I love this chapter for so many reasons.
Something that stood out to me this time that it didn't before is Romans 12:6
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.
I have to constantly catch myself by stop trying to make Gabe something that he isn't. He surely isn't me.. He is a man for one.. and God made him how he planned. So what if he doesn't always strick up a convo with everyone I do, he listens, and observes. I need to practice more of that. I love how he protects us by watching over the people that we or my kids are around making sure we are safe. I trust too easy sometimes and see the good in everybody. I need to step back sometimes and make better choices as well. I have learned a lot from my husband. I know God designed him like no other and HE put us together. We may be day/night different from each other but that is what makes us fit so well together. I want to honor him not change him.
GO Spurs Go!
Prayer Request: Mother's day coming.. ???? want to enjoy it..

I am so glad you linked this up to Marriage Mondays today, and what a handsome group of guys you have! :) Your last line really resonates with me: honor him not change him. That really takes God's mindset, not my own. Glad you shared!
